Autumn “Summer School” of Latvian Language and Regional Studies “Challenges of Ethnotourism and Ecotourism in Latgale and Selonia” has started. At the first meeting on 2 October the students were introduced to each other, study process and Latvia. The school will take place for 10 days – up to 11 October.
This year 10 students from 9 countries who are holders of State Education Development Agency scholarships will take part in Latvian language learning and sociocultural activities by exploring tourism in Latgale and Selonia.
The classes are held on ZOOM platform. Students will learn the basics of Latvian language and explore tourism of Latgale and Selionia regions.
One more stage has finished for the organizing team of Autumn “Summer School” – the filming of excursions which the participants will use as valuable learning materials.

The school is organized by Daugavpils University Faculty of Humanities Centre for Latvian Studies.
